MAKHANI PASTA

Pasta is an all-time favourite dish and we usually snack on frequently. This makhani sauce pasta gives an Indian touch for those who crave masala flavours and serves a beautiful flavour to it. We hope you guys enjoy this dish.


INGREDIENTS:

Penne pasta              : 500gms

Butter                        :    1 tsp

Grated cheese          : ¼ cup

Tomatoes                  : 3

Onions                       : 1

Capsicum                   : 1

Red chilli                     : 3

Ginger                         : 1/2 inch

garlic                           : 3-4 cloves

Cashew nuts               : ¼ cup

Jeera                           : 1tsp

Garam masala             : ½ tsp

Coriander powder        : 1tbsp

Red chilli powder         : 1tsp

Salt                              : as per taste

Oil: 1tsp

Oregano                    : 1tsp

Corn flour / maida  : 1tbsp

Milk                            : 300ml

Water                         : as required    

PROCESS:

For boiling  pasta:

1.       Take a vessel and boil water in it, add 1tsp oil and salt to taste.

2.       Add pasta and boil for 10min or till al dente.

3.       Strain the pasta, add some salt and oil, coat it well so it doesn’t stick.

                             

For the makhani sauce :

1.       In a pan heat butter, add jeera to it and sauté for few seconds.

2.       Now add chopped onions, ginger, garlic, red chillies, cashews, tomatoes  and sauté for 2min.

3.       Add red chilli powder, coriander powder and garam masala and give it a good mix.

4.       Pour some water, cover and cook for 10 min.

5.       Then allow it to cool down to room temperature and grind well to a fine paste.

 

Makhani pasta:

1.       Take a pan, heat butter and add refined flour/ cornflour and sauté for a minute.

2.       Add milk slowly and gradually and whisk it. Make sure there are no lumps.

3.       Cook until sauce thickens.

4.       Add the makhani paste and cook for 2-3min.

5.       Now add chopped capsicum, oregano, salt to taste and grated cheese and cook for 2min.

6.       Finally, add the boiled pasta and stir and cook for a minute.

your makhani pasta is ready to be served.

·         You can serve it with tomato sauce or hot garlic bread or with a drink on the side.       



This usually serves four but you can grab the whole. ;)
